Manzanos Blanco Barrica Doca Rioja


Description

Grapes from a 50 year old bush Viura situated at 350m, it receives sunshine all day and these grapes give the characteristic of maturity and body to make this wine. The other is Chadonnay at a similar altitude, high trellised vineyard where the green canopy is maintained to ensure the necessary freshness tha grape needed to make this wine. Manual night harvest in 17kg boxes to maintain the freshness. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel and then age in French and American oak barrels.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: A clear bright pale hay yellow.

Aroma: Fresh citrus nose with smoke and grassy herbaceous aromas. Hints of vanilla, pear, melon and white blossom.

Taste: Long lingering with a fresh lively acidity and persistent flavours of apples and buttered toast.
